Reportage style coverage
From the 24th - 26 March 2017 Decoy Media was the chosen hackathon photographer for a project involving German insurance giant Allianz. We were there capturing a mix of the key moments - speakers, pitches, presentations - along with more general reportage style coverage of the event as a whole.
The event took place at the Rainmaking Loft events space and co-working areas for startups, near Tower Bridge. There are a number of locations all over the city of London that have become hubs for fintech.
The event was an initiative to drive financial tech development within the insurance industry. The teams came up with some great ideas, all relating to how data can be used in smart ways, especially cross platform. Many congratulations to the handful of teams that got funding!
The Rainmaking Loft is a great space, this really helped in producing a very bright and striking set of images. Lots of windows, colours and motivational quotes painted on the walls allowed us to embrace the sometimes busy nature of the shots by shooting through different surfaces and utilising reflections creatively.
Social media content
On both days key shots were taken from the cameras, edited and delivered to the client for use on their social media platforms and/or press releases within minutes of being taken. This is always beneficial as it allows the current engaged audience to interact with the official imagery whilst the topic is still relevant.
