When TP Group got in touch and asked us to be an industrial photographer to showcase their brand new Advanced Manufacturing Centre in Dukinfield we were more than happy to help.
They held an event to launch their new project of a £1.5m refurbishment, inviting select industry guests and the Mayor of Tameside as the guest of honour.
We were asked to arrive early and photograph the new machinery to provide press photography content for the official announcement in the Manchester Evening News. We captured wide angle and detail shots of the equipment and then took some portraits of the operators around the new machines and moved onto some event coverage.
It was interesting to learn about the levels of precision that the machinery was able to work to and find out that TP Group do lots of work for the Ministry of Defence, manufacturing parts for Royal Navy submarines.
The greatest thing about location photography is getting to travel and find ourselves in weird and wonderful places week in, week out. Dukinfield isn’t the most exciting location but it is fascinating to learn about what goes on behind buildings and companies you’d usually just drive past without a thought.
We were very happy with how the images came out, much helped by large windows in the roof of the warehouse, giving the space a very bright and modern feel.
Due to our client using the images for a press release they required same day delivery on a select few and next day delivery on the full set of images. We were happy that they gave us a glowing review that can be seen below -
